Brady Police Custody Trail
Brady Police Department is a municipal law-enforcement agency. Research found no separately documented long-term public jail or released-person archive operated by the department. A person arrested by Brady police may be processed by the arresting agency and then delivered to McCulloch County Jail or another lawful custodian. The badge on the arrest report and the agency that held the person need not be the same.
Ask two direct questions: which agency booked the person, and which agency physically held them? The police incident or arrest report can establish the initial contact, alleged offense, arresting officer, and handoff. The county jail register establishes intake and a later release or transfer date if the person entered the county jail. A court order explains the legal basis for release, bond, detention, or disposition.
A disappearance from the county’s current Kologik roster is not proof of a Brady police release. It may reflect bond, time served, a court order, a transfer, a spelling issue, or a web update. State the narrow fact first, then obtain the underlying record.
Confirm Brady Police Release
Start with the McCulloch County Sheriff page if county booking is plausible. Follow its current-roster link and match name, birth details, arresting agency, booking time, and charges. History mode was disabled in the configuration reviewed, so an absent name does not supply a past release event. Note the check time and preserve any booking number.
- Request or identify the Brady police arrest or incident number.
- Ask where the person was delivered after municipal processing.
- Search the receiving custodian’s current source.
- Request the McCulloch jail register entry if county intake occurred.
- Read the signed court order for the correct cause.
Use IVSS-Counties as a prompt event channel when available. Texas moved county notifications from VINE to IVSS-Counties in September 2025. An alert should be matched to the booking and agency. It does not replace the police report, jail record, or court paper.
Brady Arrest Record Channels
A focused police-record request should name the person, date range, location or call number if known, and the records sought. Ask for the incident or arrest report and any documented transfer or delivery to another custodian. The response may be subject to Texas Public Information Act limits, active-case concerns, privacy rules, juvenile protections, or a court restriction. A withheld item does not prove that no arrest occurred.
If the person entered McCulloch County Jail, use the county open-records form. Request the permanent jail-register entry and, for a reasonably recent booking, the intake, commitment, transport, transfer, booking-out, and release papers. The permanent register includes a release or transfer date. Detailed jail materials have a two-year minimum after release or transfer under the state retention schedule.

Brady Court Release Proof
The court depends on the charge. A felony proceeds through the 452nd District Court and District Clerk. The public district docket has a McCulloch filter. County misdemeanors route through County Court and the County Clerk. Municipal ordinance and Class C matters may remain in municipal court. Preserve the cause number, because one person can have several matters.
A hearing setting is not an outcome. Read the signed bond, personal bond order, judgment, dismissal, commitment, or release order. A bond can allow the case to continue outside custody, yet another hold can prevent physical departure. A dismissal concerns the stated charge, not every possible warrant. The jail booking-out entry is stronger for the time the person actually left that custodian.
Do not confuse McCulloch’s motion to release cash-bail funds with bodily release. That form addresses return of deposited money. Its title can mislead a searcher who does not open the document.
Brady Release Versus Transfer
If the county record names TDCJ, ICE, USMS, another county, or another secure custodian, report a transfer. A municipal arrest can begin a custody chain that ends far outside Brady. No TDCJ, BOP, or ICE prison was identified inside McCulloch County, but each statewide or federal system can receive a person whose case began locally.
For TDCJ, allow for transport and working-day data lag, then use the statewide offender search. For ICE, use the exact-match locator and remember its recent-release window. For USMS or federal pretrial custody, read the federal docket because there is no public USMS historical locator. Another county requires the receiving jail’s official source.
Brady Release Record Meaning
The word “release” must be tied to a custodian. “Released from McCulloch custody on bond” is different from “delivered to TDCJ.” Time served means the confinement term was credited as ordered, but a second cause may remain. Probation, called community supervision in Texas, is imposed by a court and is not the same as parole after TDCJ confinement.
Use two records when timing matters. Pair the jail register with the signed court order, or the police handoff record with the receiving jail entry. The McCulloch County release search provides the complete county route. The combined record can answer who acted, who held the person, when that custody ended, and why.
When Brady Records Are Missing
Check spelling, birth details, date, booking agency, and jurisdiction. A police citation may not create a jail booking. A municipal arrest may have reached the county jail under a different intake spelling. A transfer can make a current local roster search fail. Expunction or nondisclosure can also restrict a public trail, and those legal limits should be respected.
Do not fill gaps with assumptions. Ask the police for the incident trail, the Sheriff for the jail register, and the clerk for the indexed court record. Those three channels reflect different events and together give the clearest answer.
Brady Release Request Checklist
Keep each request tied to one arrest. Include full name, alternate spelling, birth details, incident number, arrest range, and cause number. Ask Brady police for the arrest and handoff record. Ask the Sheriff for the register, intake, booking-out, and transfer or release papers. Ask the clerk for the signed order.
Texas keeps the county jail register permanently under PS4200-06. Detailed incarceration records under PS4200-10 have a two-year minimum after release or transfer, while transfer documents have a one-year minimum. These are retention floors, not promises of online access. Compare police incident, jail intake, and court cause numbers. Dates may mean arrest, intake, bond authority, booking-out, or transfer.
If sources conflict, ask the office that made the entry to explain it. A police handoff does not replace jail intake. A court order does not replace physical booking-out. An IVSS event is notice, not a certified jail record. Respect an expunction or nondisclosure order and do not rebuild a restricted trail from stale fragments.
Brady Custody Timeline Review
Place the source events in order. A Brady incident report may record the stop or arrest. A Sheriff intake gives the county booking time. A magistrate or court record supplies bond or detention authority. The jail register gives release or transfer, while detailed booking-out papers can add time and destination. These entries should not be compressed into one event.
When bond appears, inspect every cause and hold. The pending case usually continues after bond. When a dismissal appears, confirm whether it covers the only charge. If the record says time served, verify booking-out and any other warrant. A motion to release deposited cash concerns money, not the body of the defendant.
A final statement should name the sources. For example, the police record can establish the Brady arrest, the jail register the departure from McCulloch custody, and the signed order the legal authority. If the destination was another custodian, report a transfer and continue there.
Brady Record Correction Trail
If an identity, time, or destination appears wrong, contact the office that created that field. Police correct police entries, the Sheriff addresses jail records, and the clerk manages court filings. Keep the original incident, booking, and cause numbers with the correction request. A mismatch should be resolved from source records, not from a current roster snapshot or third-party page.
The permanent register remains the key fallback after the web roster changes. Preserve the check date and ask for the recorded release or transfer type before stating the outcome.
